NEW YORK CITY · VIDEO CONSULTATIONS

Not sure what to build? Let’s look at your business.

Explore a website, mobile app, web platform, desktop software, or custom tool for your business. Start with a video consultation; arrange an NYC visit when seeing your space or workflow would help. No finished plan is needed.

Start online. See the space when it helps.

Meet online.

Talk through a website, app, or business problem. A rough idea is enough. The consultation is booked through BriefBooth.

NYC visits, by arrangement.

If you’re unsure what you need or the software must fit a physical space, we can look at the workflow together. Manhattan, Brooklyn, and parts of Queens are available by arrangement; travel farther afield is discussed in advance.

Bring anything you already have.

See the space before deciding on the software.

An in-person consultation is useful when you are not sure what technology would help, or when the application needs to work in a specific setting. We can look at a reception desk, booking handoff, order station, shared workspace, or another part of your day-to-day work. Seeing who uses the system, where they use it, and what happens between steps helps us choose the right screens, devices, and workflow before planning the build.

Show how your business works.

Bring your current website, booking form, spreadsheet, or another example of the work. Walk through what a customer or staff member does, what information they need, and where a handoff happens. Include the exceptions: a changed appointment, a missing order detail, or a record that needs correcting. Those examples help define what the technology should do.

Connect the build to a useful task.

For example, a salon might need a booking-request website and a way to review requests. A restaurant might need an ordering flow that fits how staff receive and prepare orders. Another business might need a shared workspace instead of repeated spreadsheet entry. We discuss the users, current tools, and business rules before choosing a website, browser app, or native app.

Agree the scope before building.

The next step is a defined project: the task to complete, the features included, the information involved, and the people who will use it. We agree the scope and price before development starts. Existing systems, hosting, outside services, launch requirements, and maintenance responsibilities belong in that discussion. A first version can focus on one complete, useful workflow.

Questions about consultations

Can we meet online or in person?

Start with a video consultation booked through the 4u Digital page on BriefBooth. If you are unsure what you need, or the application or software needs to fit a particular space, an in-person consultation can help us understand the work before choosing what to build. Visits are available in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and parts of Queens, with travel farther afield discussed in advance.

Do I need a finished plan before we meet?

No. Start with what your business does, who needs to use the technology, and one task you want to improve. Existing forms, screenshots, or examples can help explain the problem. A technical specification is not required to start the conversation.

Can we discuss whether I need a website or an app?

Yes. We can compare the task, users, devices, and existing tools before choosing a platform. Public information, shared browser workflows, and native device features create different requirements. The meeting can help identify a practical starting point for the project.
